🤗 I’m SO excited! Our 1st Annual Women Empowerment Brunch is just a few weeks away – March 17th – in honor of Women’s History Month. ♀️ I can’t wait for this awesome gathering and the opportunity to engage, encourage and empower one another to be the best version of ourselves.

In 2014, I created my first vision board as part of our group activity for our mentoring program. We saw the excitement on the faces of our mentees so I decided to join in on the fun. I was going through a rough breakup around this time but I was still hopeful of finding true love & getting married someday. Little did I know, it would all come to pass a year or two later. As I was cleaning out my closet I came across the board that was tucked away for some time. I was in shock when I realized how much of what I visualized had come true. It was a season of my life that led me to grow spiritually and embrace the journey while trusting in the process.

This past November, my sister and I decided to spend the day creating a vision board. We must have spent like $30 for about 5 magazines but it was so worth it.

God wasted no time this time around – lol. In January, Cricket Wireless reached out to my husband and asked what events he had coming up in 2018 for them to sponsor. I said, “Why not do something for women?!? Something different than the other events you’ve had?!” This is how our brunch came about.

As women, we are a force to be reckoned with. There is so much power within us but sometimes life happens and we are forced to put our visions, goals, desires and etc. on the backburner. My hope is for us to take full advantage of this opportunity to create our own vision board and take the necessary steps needed in order for us to see it all come to pass – no matter how long it takes. You might not have anything in particular in mind for your future but I believe that as we gather as women, visions and goals will begin to pour out as we engage, encourage and empower one another. Let’s have a heart-to-heart. Let’s have fun. Let’s get excited for what our future has in store for us.

I had no idea that some of my visions would come to pass as quickly as they are but I know that this is only the beginning. I’m so excited for what’s to come but I’m just embracing the NOW & trusting in the process.
