“Stay in your lane” is what you would normally tell someone when you’re trying to let them know not to worry about what doesn’t concern them or to simply mind their own business.

However, this is what I’ve been having to tell myself lately. I was away from social media for some time but the minute I go back on, I start to scroll & scroll & scroll & scroll … & my anxiety starts to kick in. Once I’m aware of this, I go back to uninstalling my apps & stay away again. It’s embarrassing to even admit but it’s the truth. I don’t know if you can relate but it sucks. I feel like I’m an addict or something. I’m sure there’s a scientific reason for why this happens. 🤔😜

Anyway, not only do I become anxious but I start to compare myself to others that might have the same interest as I do or someone who might be doing what I’ve been wanting to do but I may not have enough courage to do so.

When this happens, I start to feel insecure about myself. I begin to doubt the desires, dreams, goals, skills, talents & visions that are within me. I believe we all experience insecurity in some way, shape or form but that doesn’t make it right. I allow these thoughts in my mind to cause me to feel like I’m not enough BUT… I AM ENOUGH! Not only am I enough but I am a force to be reckoned with. Though this negative way of thinking lasts for a moment, it shouldn’t cause me to doubt who I am. It shouldn’t cause you to doubt who you are either. PERIOD!

We are all unique & we have been made for a purpose.

I have twin nieces & no matter how identical they are to one another, each have their own fingerprints. That just proves that much more how unique we all are.

I have made the decision to be intentional about staying in MY lane & focusing on what God is doing in MY life. It’s definitely encouraging to see what God is doing in other people’s lives but that shouldn’t make us doubt what God is doing in each of us nor should it make us become envious or jealous of what God is doing in or through someone else.

Whatever you might be passionate about – GO FOR IT. Whatever goal you might have – GO FOR IT. But remember to EMBRACE the journey & STAY IN YOUR LANE! 🌱🌻💕
