My heart is overjoyed with love and gratitude. Last night was a true blessing all around – from beginning to end. I’ve been blessed to have such amazing people in my life. Thank you so much Covenant Keepers for showering us with your love, prayers and blessings. #SweetSurprise ππ£π
π #CovenantKeepers (CK) is a Life Group for married, engaged or courting couples who are intentional about having the Lord Jesus be the Center of their relationships. π We meet once a month and was originally facilitated by such an amazing couple (David & Kenya Greene) who desire that each person will know the will of God for their marriage and come into a full knowledge and understanding of who they are in Christ as a couple.
Within CK we focus on encouraging each other, praying, sharing success stories as well as failure stories. We are firm believers that growth and change and eventually success come out of the heart of a man that is willing to learn through his failures. We always say that Covenant Keepers is a “Keep it Real” non judgment zone to gather. The reason is because we realize that God can’t minister to our mask (who we pretend to be). We want to keep it real and be honest about who we are and where we are as couples and individually. For it is in our realness and willingness to be transparent that God will give us revelation. With the receiving of revelation – blessings, change and success is sure to follow. Not to mention how much of a blessing you can be to someone else. When we are honest, we encourage the person sitting across from us, because now they know that he or she is not alone in their struggles.
This would be our 3rd series. With each series, a book alongside a DVD is chosen for us to read/watch (as shown below). We open and close in prayer. We share our answers to the questions from each chapter, our thoughts on what we’ve learned, and whatever God places in our hearts to discuss in the time we spend together. We have cried, laughed, encouraged, prayed, celebrated, carried each others burden and have grown to love one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Edison and I joined September 2015 (before we got engaged). It’s a blessing to gain so much wisdom from each couple especially the couples who have been married for many years. It’s encouraging and it gives us hope that we too can look forward to a long lasting marriage. We give God ALL of the glory.
May this post encourage each of you to seek more of the Lord in your relationships and may God open doors that will allow such groups to bless your life as it has blessed ours.
