Oftentimes God allows certain situations to occur so that we would seek more of Him. Whenever things seem to be out of our control, it’s because it is. And the only One who has the control to make it right is … Him! He wants us to understand that only He is capable of turning our situation around & making them into something great if only we could let go of the wheel & allow Him to take control.

Obedience is NOT easy whatsoever. I’d be lying if I said it was but it’s a must when seeking to please our Lord. We must turn away from the things, relationships, friendships, & places that do not honor God. We ought to strive daily to let go of the desires of the flesh that bring Him sadness & commit to living a life that would bring Him glory instead. Let’s acknowledge that there’s nothing in this world that can ever compete with Him nor should ever take His place because if we’re honest with ourselves, none of those things have ever filled us in the way that only He can. We do this by trusting in Him & having faith that the plans He has for us are not for evil nor disaster but for a future & a hope!
Lord, thank You for never turning Your back on us & never counting us out. Thank You for not treating us as our sin deserves. Help us not to be slaves to a list of rules but to the love that we have for You. Search our hearts, God! Break our hearts for what breaks Yours & give us the wisdom & understanding to do what is pleasing in Your sight. Our obedience to You & freedom from sin comes naturally when we commit ourselves to making our love for You the focus of our lives. We trust that You are with us every step of the way & we thank You for Your love. Your grace. Your mercy. And Your forgiveness. In Jesus’ precious name, AMEN!!
