Planning a trip is simply exhilarating and always fun. As for me, I start planning my next trip, as soon as I arrive back home from my latest trip. So just how do I choose my next area of destination?
For me, it’s easy, because I already know the things I like. I want something relaxing, most preferably somewhere near a body of water so that means I prefer beaches over mountains. I have a list of places I wish to visit so I go through them one by one. Depending on how much I have at this point, I will go somewhere exotic or abroad or perhaps one of the beaches at home if I have limited funds. Also, when seat sales come along, I am always willing to go on a trip on whenever that seat sale is taking me. I never pass an opportunity to travel.
If you’re not yet fixed on what type of activity you’d like to be doing, that’s a good way to start your planning. The activity you prefer will dictate the possibilities for your next trip. What is the trip for, anyway? Is it for a romantic proposal or honeymoon, or is it for a break from school? I’m sure you have travel buddies. What do your travel buddies like to do? How much are you willing to spare for your trip? Are you okay with having just the very basic amenities, in which case you can go to more exotic places? Or can’t you do without the conveniences of modern life, in which case you’d need to stay in developed cities.
These are just some of the questions you need to answer when planning for your next trip. The most important thing is that you bring your sense of adventure so that you’ll have a grand time, whether you are in a remote log cabin up in the mountains or in a seven-star suite in the middle of the ocean.
