My mom and I have the same taste in TV shows and wouldn’t you know it, she likes cooking shows too. I love the Food Network and now that other one, the Cooking Channel and mom actually sent me to an online Cable TV Advisor so I could find the cheapest package that had all the channels I liked so we could watch our shows and then talk about them together.
I love my mom but sometimes when we’re watching Top Chef or Chopped or something like that and she has to chime in and give her two cents I want to kill her – it’s over the phone but it makes it really hard for me to hear what’s actually going on on the TV program which is just not cool! I’m one of those people who likes to go to movies and actually WATCH the movie but mom’s more of the let’s talk about it while we’re watching it kind of person. Our taste is really different but at least we like the same shows!
