London is one of the top tourist destinations in the whole wide world, and that is not such a big surprise. There are so many tourist attractions and must see places in London that one or two days of stay is not enough. You’d need at least four days to cover everything. Of course, the longer you stay in London, the more money you burn. So make sure that you bring deep enough pockets with you when going to London.
There is, however, an alternative to spending a lot, and that is to tour London at absolutely no cost. Yes, it can be done, but you will have to skip all the big names that make London the premier city it is like the London Eye, the castles, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, even Sherlock Homes’ home. To tour London for free, you need to go away from places that require you to pay and instead focus on those that admit tourists for free My favorite will be the parallel Tower Bridge and London Bridge, both of which you can walk around in for free.
Especially at night, the Tower Bridge is breathtaking, and you can take your own pictures for that standard souvenir photo. Then you can visit the many museums that are free, like the British Museum, the Tate Modern and the Tate Britain. You can also walk down Covent Garden and witness the many street shows and people traffic in there. Of course, you absolutely must watch the Changing of the Guards.
Make sure, though, to bring a pair of sturdy legs, as you would need to walk around London – that doesn’t’ cost a thing, either.
