Be Prepared for the Worst

After thousands of years, the advice to live the moment is just as valid as it was when given by its author, but it is not an excuse to justify reckless living. An example of healthy thinking is to consider the worst-case scenario, even if the odds for it to come to pass are slim and take some precautionary measures. Term life insurance quotes can give you a general idea about how much it would cost you to insure your life for a limited period of time and weigh the pros and cons.

The leading benefit is that you will not be committed to a lifelong plan, but as the deadline is met, you will have no way of using the money spent. Arguably, there will be none to complain about the fact that nothing bad happened to them, but if you are hoping to build something for the long run, ask life insurance companies for the alternative.

They will present you with whole life insurance alternative and explain why this is regarded as a solid foundation for the family’s economic security. Even so, there is a good chance for the term life insurance to remain your first choice, so the sole focus will be to find the best insurance rates for the policy.

I Dream of Madrid

If you are visiting Europe, you certainly need to visit and spend at least a night in Madrid – I would if I had the chance. Madrid may not be as famous as Barcelona, or as infamous as Seville, but it has its own claim to fame, the first to which is that this is where the Spanish Kings and Queens live.

MadridWhen in Madrid, you need to first familiarize yourself with Puerto Del Sol. This square is perhaps one of the most important squares in Madrid. This is where all distances are measured from, the kilometre zero, the true north, so to speak. You will never get lost if you know Puerto Del Sol. Speaking of town squares, you would want to visit Plaza Mayor. It used to be the town square but is now converted into a row of restaurants, cafes and bars that cater to tourists, completely towered over by burgundy buildings. The atmosphere is something you should try out, as there is no other place in the world like it.

Now your Madrid tour can’t be complete if you don’t pay a visit to the King and Queen – literally. So head to Calle Mayor and visit Royal Palace. You will see the richly furnished rooms lavishly decorated with a furniture fit for kings and queens. Sometimes, though, the palace is closed so you may want to check first before going there.

Now that’s just a taste of Madrid. There are museums and parks and restaurants and souvenir shops that all make for an interesting visit.

How to Roam in Rome

There is so much to see in Rome that it is utterly impossible to see them all in one day. So if you have a limited time, you need to plan your day well so as not to waste time on deciding where to go next.

RomeRome is best known for one city, and it will be a sin not to visit this world-famous city: the Vatican. Make sure though that you have a reservation to enter, otherwise you might be disappointed to find out you can no longer enter, or that you need to stand in line for an hour or longer just to get inside. Online reservations are allowed so do this way ahead of time, even as early two months away. And once you get inside, make sure to worship in the Sistine Chapel and worship as well the great masterpiece of our time.

Then head straight to St. Peter’s Basilica and make a wish that you get to extend your time in Rome so you can visit more places. Okay, if you’ve had enough of chapels and the Vatican City, you can then proceed to the Pantheon. You will get an idea of what it was like in the old times when entertainment was defined differently.

And when in Rome, do like the Romans do and eat al fresco in one of the many open air restaurants. Choose a restaurant that gives you a great view of the city, perhaps one that faces Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers?

Now that’s just a mere teaser. You need to schedule your next trip to Rome so that you can begin to understand why so many people love it, and a lot of authors choose to write about it.
